The EBC Philosophy
Howdy, I’m Evan Brown and welcome to the EBC Leadership Series. This is our first video for our leadership series. This series will do over the different leadership strategies and techniques we use in all the Evan Brown Companies. I hope you’ll learn something new and that these videos help you develop as a leader.
In this video, I want to discuss the EBC Philosophy, which is our set of guiding principles that is the core of our family culture. These principles are found in the letters: EBC.
E is for Excellence in All Things
B is for the Building up, Growth and Success of the Individual
C is for Compassionate Service to all Family Members and Friends
Let’s discuss each of those ideas individually.
Excellence in All Things, some people’s first thought here is about being perfect. Excellence has nothing to do with being perfect. Excellence is a commitment to completion. Every task that our Family Members undertake will be followed through with and completed. And done so; beyond our Friends’ expectations.
The Building up, Growth and Success of the individual is for everyone. First, we are committed to improving our Family Members – not only so they can perform their tasks efficiently and effectively, but to just live better lives and to reach, achieve and keep their personal promises, goals and dreams. We also do this for our Friends. If our goods and services do not help our Friends become better people themselves and live better lives, we are doing them a disservice.
Compassionate service even extends beyond the goods and services the EBC families provide. All our Family Members understand that we are part of the communities that our Families operate in. We encourage our Family Members to provide service to those in need even when they are not performing their specific jobs. We want all our Family Members (from our CEOs to our front-line Family Members) to give back to the community whenever possible. Our hope is that this service is heartfelt and sincere – and not just a routine. If we can’t better the communities and the people that live in the areas that we operate, we have no place being in business.
Thanks for watching my friends. I hope this gave you a little insight into the EBC core values.
